ANIMAL FARM 2020

I raced to my cubicle
long before the siren rant
Here in the corners
I lost my will to dance
The streets are abandoned
but it was a ghost town before
when playing what we are handed
we forgot about the war
                   …and lost it
                             handily
                                willingly…….
Terrified and restless
led to sufferings
Like every other time
screens were buffering
The corpses were assembled
but they were all dead before
no manifest of what they intended
because they all wondered “What for?”
                                 …..and found out
                                          handily
                                          willingly……..
And the steel hit the asphalt like a storm of reckoning
but guns and food we hoarded was always beckoning
so we marched in self righteous piety into the machine
And the oceans ran red from the poor and the insane
and the infirm were executed to save future gains
the “citizens” were counted and recognized by face
but they started disappearing as it hit the final phase
They took our pride and freedom
but left technology
So we allowed them
to subjugate freely
